Big Sur 1/2 marathon

On 9 Nov 08, I ran my first (and probably last) 1/2 marathon ... you are probably thinking, "I didn't know you were training for a 1/2 marathon?" and you are correct. I ran for the first 11 miles, then had to start run/walking. My legs are pretty sore today, but not so bad that I can't walk ...although going down stairs is painful!

Randy took these pics near the finish. I'm so numb at this point, I'm not really sure what's going on. All I could think of was getting to that dang finish line and feet don't fail me now!




If you're interested in the overall results, click on this link (hopefully it works) and choose the "half marathon" under select a race. My bib number was 6468 ... My time's not pretty (2:22:22), but I finished and got the little medal ... :)
